Around 18 million people are undergoing plastic surgery every year, as per a report in the year 2018. American Society of Plastic Surgeons reported that they performed 1.8 million cosmetic surgical procedures along with 15.9 million cosmetic minimally invasive procedures. The obsession of people to look good has increased a lot and they are turning towards plastic surgery at a very fast pace. American Society of Plastic Surgeons reported a huge increase in the number of overall plastic surgeries carried out in the year 2018 as compared to 2017. This organization consists of board-certified plastic surgeons who said that this number has steadily increased in the last 5 years.

Cosmetic surgeries included the procedures like breast augmentation, liposuction, nose reshaping, tummy tuck and eyelid surgery are the major ones. Thigh lifts and buttock augmentations are some other procedures that people prefer. The experts also said that liposuction is a versatile, effective and efficient procedure and hence, it remains a standard procedure in body contouring. Other nonsurgical procedures included soft tissue fillers, botulinum toxin type A (including Botox), chemical peel, microdermabrasion and laser hair removal. The experts say that today, the best thing about plastic surgery is that modern surgery is not like a surgery anymore. There are other options like Botox, lasers and fillers. There are treatments that treat brown spots, fine lines, red veins, removal of unwanted hair, etc.

Liposuction can be treated by procedures like noninvasive fat reduction. Liposuction provides predictable and consistent results, as compared to non-invasive treatments. For breast augmentation, there are other options instead of surgeries which include the addition of fats. New machinery and techniques continue to evolve in this field. Urge to look young and beautiful has triggered a great scope for plastic surgeries. People are ready to invest heavily in this. Also, with new advancements in this field, things are getting safer. So, reshaping bodies had never been so easy. In the coming years, it is sure that more and more people will go for cosmetic plastic surgeries.
