The mass shooting is one of those things which are making things worse for the majority of the Americans. There are many gun violence activities happening around the country, and now big corporations are also worrying about it. Recently retail giant company Walmart decided to make changes into their policies about gun-related laws. A month ago at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas mass shooting happened in which twenty people died. That incident got lots of media coverage, and now after one month, Walmart has decided to change some of its policies regarding guns and ammunition.

While announcing new norms, Walmart said that congress should also take significant steps to strict gun laws. The retail giant company said they are going to stop selling short rifle ammunition like .223 caliber and 5.56 caliber. Alaska is the only state where Walmart currently sales all sort of handguns but they are going to stop doing that also. Gun culture has always been a part of American society, but after witnessing new violent events, things need to be changed.

Walmart also mentioned that they would not be allowing its customers to bring handguns in stores. In an official memo to employees, Walmart’s CEO Doug McMillan said that “It’s clear to us that the status quo is unacceptable.” The company currently sells guns and ammunition in more than 3900 stores across the country. It’s still going to sell long barrel deer rifle and shotgun. The store’s employees will check certain items, and if customers have a permit for them, they will allow it. Gun violation is becoming a big problem in the USA because of recent mass shooting activities. This decision of the corporate giant will surely create an impact on current things.
